about

(Where the lilies grow) is one of three piano-voice songs from 'The Japanese Tree' album, it was actually written 10 years ago but has only now found its final form and meaning in appearing on this disc.
The video is a real recording from around the time I was almost five years old, a period just before the '89 Revolution in Romania. It's a mix of footage showing family moments and the purity and innocence of childhood and when all her dear ones were still alive.

lyrics

1. Most people think
They are right about everything
But they'll never see the real you
'Cause first they ask is: 'how old are you?'

2. They wanna know about the places you've been
But they don't care how far you've gone
All we are is souls in flesh
That will desolve in a flash

Chorus: Walking where the lilies grow
I saw that place I surelly know
I'm not to brave but I must say
I've reached to heaven that day.

3. Whell I know I'm just a simple fool
Who thinks that life cannot be cruel
If you could stand in my shoes
You'd know you had nothing to lose.

Chorus:....
